Isca is Latin for ‘by the river’. It is also the Roman name for Caerleon - the home place of Sarah Broder, the flautist who commissioned the work.
The music is nearly always flowing and lyrical.
Isca was commissioned by Sarah Broder and composed between November 2006 and February 2007.
