OVERLAND TO THE SEA

Overland to the sea is (for the present) a single movement work for medium sized orchestra. It is an arrangement of the first movement of my string quartet.

It was first performed by the orchestra of Welsh National Opera in January 2000.

At some stage I plan to orchestrate the remaining three movements of the quartet.

A virtual orchestra mock-up is currently in progress - and a link will be provided soon.

I would be very pleased to hear from anyone interested in performing this work .

Perusal scores available on request.

Professional and patriarchal, the Welsh National Opera opened, its concert last Friday with the work of contemporary Welsh composer Ian Lawson. A full house supported the fourth WNO tour as they introduced the evening with this innovative and inspiring music.
